The Thai digital sector is expected to reach ฿727 billion in value by 2021, an increase from ฿650.5 billion in 2020.

According to the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (Depa) president Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin “The digital industry will achieve double-digit growth this year as users continue to shift to use digital services”.

Thailand’s digital sector is transitioning towards a more service-oriented industry. The digital workforce expanded in all industries, although it is still insufficient to satisfy the demands of entrepreneurs, particularly for sophisticated digital experts.

Several online service providers are concerned about a shortage of qualified personnel as brands attempt to adapt to a new business strategy by concentrating on digitalization.

In addition, there would be a move toward cloud services utilization in the software sector, and the hardware and smart device industry will also see a decrease in total imports in 2020.
