Code; Without Barriers collaborates with over 21 developer communities around the Asia Pacific, addressing over 407,000 engineers in fields such as data, AI, DevOps, Java, JavaScript, and Python, as well as Women in Tech, the international non-profit organization.

The relationship between creativity and consumerism is shifting. Every company’s operation and activity is influenced greatly by developers. This is why Code: Without Boundaries was born. Microsoft identified the need to increase diversity in each country’s digital agenda, allowing an inclusive effort and merit-based recognition.

For each country to fulfill its national digital objectives and have truly equitable economic growth, there is an urgent need to enhance the variety of cloud, AI, and technical expertise in APAC, and tap into a diverse talent pool with the potential to produce incredible results.

Organizations with a balance of genders are brighter and more successful. Hiring women in technical positions brings far more than a new viewpoint to the table. Moreover, gender-diverse businesses have shown to be more innovative and profitable than the average. Initiatives like Microsoft’s Code; Without Barriers help to close that important gap.
