Google Released Report to Track the Responses to Social Distancing
Google’s new report allows public health officials understand responses to social distancing directive to flatten COVID-19 curve. Countries with lockdown issued see a decline as high as 81% for retail place (e.g., Philippines data pictured).
Google disclaims the understanding of location categories is varies within country per country. The data track people’s mobility in public places categorized in six categories from February 16 to March 29.
