aCommerce Partners with TikTok and Ando To Create a New Commerce Experience In Indonesia
aCommerce Indonesia announced that it has partnered with TikTok and Ando to create the first TikTok Shopping experience in Indonesia.
TikTok Shopping is a suite of commerce solutions that empowers brands and merchants to better engage with their customers. This includes TikTok Shop, a direct integration solution that enables partners such aCommerce to better offer end-to-end commerce services to merchants. Together with TikTok, aCommerce was able to provide Ando, a leading Indonesian footwear brand, a full suite of e-commerce solutions for Ando’s TikTok Shop.
TikTok Shopping features include product tagging in the platform’s short-form videos, which will allow users to seamlessly checkout and pay by simply tapping the small basket icon on the screen while the video is playing. In addition, Ando’s new sales channel also allows users to purchase during a live stream. Once the shopper places the order, aCommerce delivers it to the shopper’s appointed address.
In addition, Ando incorporated the Product Showcase, where users can now browse the brand’s digital shelves, select their desired products and complete the purchase without leaving the platform.
TikTok’s most prominent advantage is the growing use of influencers and the use of its live stream feature, while only 16% of marketing professionals pointed at TikTok as being their platform of choice for influencer marketing in 2020, today more than 68% of professionals point at TikTok as their first go-to platform when utilizing influencers in their marketing strategies (US Linquia Survey, March 2021).
Ando’s plan is to scale these live stream options that allow shop visitors to easily check out while enjoying content from their favorite online celebrities by tapping the cart icon at the bottom of the screen.
